The lush green hills, dotted with ancient villages, vineyards, and olive groves, create a captivating backdrop for exploration.

Living an experience fullest of Wellness

Colli Euganei Hills are known for their unique thermal waters, which contribute to the region’s reputation as a wellness destination. The presence of these thermal waters can be attributed to the geological composition of the area and the volcanic activity that occurred in the past.

The Colli Euganei Hills are of volcanic origin, with the hills themselves being the remnants of ancient volcanic activity. This volcanic history has played a significant role in the formation of thermal waters in the region. The underground volcanic activity has led to the creation of aquifers, which store and circulate water through the geothermal system.

Villa Selvatico is a magnificent Renaissance villa that dates back to the 16th century. It is situated in the town of Battaglia Terme, within the regional park of the Euganean Hills. The villa is known for its beautiful architecture, English style gardens, and surrounding natural scenery.
At the behest of the Marquis Bartolomeo Selvatico, construction work on the villa began in 1593 and was completed in 1647 by the illustrious doctor Benedetto Selvatico, with the mastery of the master builder Tomio Sforzan.
The current structure of the villa is the result of over four centuries of modifications, modernizations and expansions. Palladian inspiration, the exotic influence of the dome, the internal frescoes and the crenellated corner towers tell the centuries-old history of various owners, all in love with the villa to the point of taking care of it and always keeping it in great harmonic balance.

The story of Villa Vescovi begins in the 16th century when it was commissioned by the Vescovi family, who were wealthy Venetian merchants.

Built between 1535 and 1542, the Villa was designed for the bishop of Padua, Francesco Pisani, as a grandiose architectural work inspired by classicism and intended to welcome writers and artists from the cultured circle of intellectuals gathered by the bishop.

The project was entrusted to the Veronese painter-architect Giovanni Maria Falconetto, while the direction of the works fell to the Venetian scholar Alvise Cornaro, responsible at the time for the curial administration.
