Visit Sicily is exploring the 5 senses
Visit Sicily this year was not my idea. But of course, imagining a place knowing what it would find: beach, happy people * like Brazil, would have no problem in coming up.
But as in these posts of Summer Wine does not accept the same repertoire of all, I did the different tour, for the culture and the art. In fact this was a prerogative, * which I could not even choose.
I write how it was to travel to Sicily for differences like me: and it was not of purpose. I simply caught rain on 4 of the 10 day vacation.
But every misfortune bears a good story, and I will tell mine.
Visit Sicily offers you cultural background
Along with my beautiful memories and photos, I carry my accumulated pounds proudly, and the fault is in the cultural knowledge that I returned with appetite for more.
I discovered that there are more than 30 archaeological sites (that I can count on), divided into cities like Agrigento, Caltassinetta, Catania, Enna, Messina, Ragusa, Syracuse.

In addition to paradisiacal beaches such as Cala Capreria, Isola Bella of Taormina, Fontane Bianche di Siracusa, it is possible to visit historic and traditional sites that will last a lifetime.
I heard many friends telling me about the incredible monuments of the Baroque period, a dark land in a surrounding relief, pointing to the volcano Etna, between winding roads in front of paradisiacal beaches that contrasted turquoise blue waters …
And there is more what they said: Sicily is also culture, art and gastronomy … and lavish sensuality.

Visit Sicily: consider your lodging as part of your experience
Before choosing a hotel, I considered that the trip to Sicily was a balance between the tranquility of the countryside at a convenient distance from the beach.
It would be convenient to go out at night to the busy center, and be able to return to have peace of mind. (I think I’m getting old)
I also chose the eastern part of Sicily, and, since the island is large, over 1600 km from coast to coast, we chose to better enjoy each experience with a pre-established theme. Mine would be between wine and culture!
Visit Sicily near the region of Etna seemed to me perfect since it would have the calm of the natural park of the volcano.
The proximity to the bustling Taormina surprises you with beautiful beaches.
You will be able to go by car in Catania, Siracusa, Noto, Buy the ceramics of Caltagirone or visit the beautiful mosaics of Piazza Armerina in a easy way.
The Resort and Spa Villa Neri fit perfectly into our requirement, located in a town called Linguaglossa, near the national park of Mount Etna and close to Taormina.

The reception of the hotel was impeccable and efficient, already with a welcome appetizer and a very warm welcome.
The receptionists were already waiting for us, knowing that we had arrived from a very long trip
* It is possible to write a message with preferences before arriving, always with the necessary precautions, and it really made a lot of difference.
We did a Turkish bath in the SPA of the hotel and recovered our energies with the emotional shower (* is the maximum, knew that it changes color to favor the relaxation? ..).
We requested the concierge service to indicate us some restaurant with typical local food, and they wrote us 3 choices in Giardini Naxos.
The breakfast was something of typical and wonderful, carefully selected ingredients and respect the Sicilian tradition, with right up to the rich granita with brioche, a superb experience to the palate.
